ALTEZZA REFRESH PT.1

ALTEZZA REFRESH PT.1

Project Toyota Altezza: The Refresh Begins

If you know me or UKIYO GARAGE, you know the Altezza’s been my long-time passion project. But truth be told—it’s been collecting dust for the last few years. Between getting UKIYO GARAGE off the ground, navigating life, and juggling everything in between, the car ended up on the back burner. It’s been sitting. Waiting for me. But never forgotten.

Now, the time’s finally right, and I’m bringing it back to life the way I always pictured it.

Wheels & Fitment

Let’s start with the wheels:
I recently picked up a set of BuddyClub P1s. Imported from Japan, "New" old stock, and a timeless look that just works. The Specs are 17x8 +32 F, 17x9 +37 R, all wrapped in 225/45R17 tires. Fitment is tight and clean. Aggressive enough to confidently rip corners, but still balanced for daily drivability.

Body Kit & Wrap

Next up, the exterior. I'm currently fitting a full Vertex body kit, keeping things classy and sleek with that unmistakable street style. To tie it all together, I'm wrapping the car in 3M Metallic Black. It’s glossy with just the right amount of metallic flake.

Interior Setup

Inside, I'm keeping it simple but purposeful. I got a Bride Zeta II bucket seat paired with a 3" Takata harness, just waiting for a seat rail to throw it in! I've been dreaming of this interior set up for years, and its finally coming together!
Also swapped the old alcantara wheel for a Nardi 350mm. Small change, big difference and fits the car’s aesthetic perfectly.

Details That Matter

Wrapped up the look with a set of Project Mu lug nuts. ( Finally ditched the pink lugs! IYKYK). Just a small touch, but the kind of detail that makes it all feel complete.

What’s Next?

This is just the beginning of the cars comeback. I’ve been dreaming about getting this car show-ready again for years. Now that life’s finally giving me a bit of room to breathe, I’m pushing forward on it... right after finals are over.

There’s more coming of course, especially for the engine. Although that may take me a while on my student budget. For now, I’m just hyped to finally get back to doing what I love.
